I have always loved art! I have spent my life making art of all kinds, including watercolor paintings, graphic design, wall murals and fine art crafts. The beauty of nature is my greatest inspiration . . . light and shadows, tiny details, intricate patterns and vibrant colors all inspire me to create.
I received dual degrees in graphics and fine art at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, and was fortunate to study with such artists as Irving Shapiro, Bill Parks and Mike Desatnick. I went on to a 20-year graphic art career with AT&T, then taught elementary school art for many years, as well as continuing to create my own artwork.
My paintings tend to be representational, combining realistic detail with impressionistic elements. When I feel like adding a bit more imagination and whimsy, I love to paint found objects, birdhouses, ornaments, gourds, windows, stones . . . anything.
I hope you enjoy my work! And let me know how I can bring my art into your life.
