I'm excited and honored to be chosen to participate in Carmel's third annual Rain on Main, an event held to increase awareness of water quality and conservation and to raise money for water education signs in Carmel Clay parks.
I picked up a 65-gallon rain barrel today that, to my artist's eye, is a blank canvas. Over the next two months, other artists and I will be painting barrels that will be auctioned in a silent auction at the Carmel Farmers' Market Aug. 19. Visitors to the farmers' market can vote on their favorite barrel, so keep an eye out for mine!
The barrels will be displayed at various locations in the Carmel Arts and Design District starting with the IU Health North Gallery Walk on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 12.
I'll be posting photos of my progress, so stop here often!
