It was great to hear that the Rain on Main competition raised more than $2,600 that will be spent on water-quality signage in Carmel parks. It's an effort to educate the public on the importance of clean water and the strategies used to protect our resources.
I was pleased to be a part of this. And I was especially honored to win the People's Choice competition by garnering 149 "likes" and "loves" on Facebook. My barrel also received third place in the judging and it sold for more money ($325) than any other barrel.
Thank you for your support! I had a lot of fun planning and executing the rain barrel and I've already begun thinking about what I can paint next year!
